The effort that the Buddy team has put into bringing our episodic accident insurance to market is astounding, and I couldn’t be more proud of my colleagues. Not only have they worked tirelessly on creating new insurance forms and a proprietary tech platform, but they have also moved away from home for the past three months to participate in the MetLife Digital Accelerator powered by Techstars. The accelerator has been a rigorous experience, and it has exposed us to an unparalleled group of peers, mentors, and experts, which has absolutely propelled Buddy forward faster.
Now that we are on the other side of launching, our mission to protect people who lead an active, outdoor lifestyle is underway. Buddy’s episodic accident insurance is rolling out across the US through 2019, and we look forward to meeting new people, collaborating with partners, and going on a few adventures ourselves.
